Gray Matter Counseling Services exists to provide professional, high quality, personalized counseling services to adolescents and adults in Starkville and the surrounding communities. My desire is to partner with my clients and help them through life’s challenges to find purpose, hope, and balance in life.

Insurance and Billing
We are in network providers for Blue Cross Blue Shield, AHS, and Tricare.
We will file claims for out of network insurance companies but require upfront payment for services rendered. We are not Medicaid or Medicare providers. We also provide superbills at your request if you wish to file your own insurance claims.
We recommend that you contact your insurance provider prior to your first session to become familiar with your mental health coverage, as all plans are different. Ask if your plan reimburses for "Outpatient Mental Health Services provided by a Licensed Professional Counselor."
If you do not have insurance or do not plan to use insurance for our services, you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate. We do have discounted self-pay rates but we do not offer sliding scale at this time.
